(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) and the University of Wisconsin – Stout (UW-Stout) are pleased to announce a new transfer opportunity for students completing NTC’s Electromechanical Technology Associate Degree. Through this unique partnership, students can complete their first two years of college at NTC, transfer to UW-Stout and earn their Bachelor’s degree by completing an additional 78-79 credits.

Students can choose to stay at NTC to complete another 29 credits after earning their associate degree, leaving only 50 credits to complete at UW-Stout.

“It’s very exciting to be involved in another collaborative venture between Northcentral Technical College and UW Stout,” said John Schultz, Program Director of the Engineering Technology major at UW-Stout. “I believe the NTC Electro-Mechanical / Stout ET Electrical graduates will have a huge advantage searching for employment.  NTC alumni who earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology at UW Stout provide additional skills recognized as essential by employers.

‘The Electro-Mechanical student’s education is focused on current technology required to maintain and develop state of the art manufacturing systems. Combining those skills with the application based engineering and scientific concepts and management studies of the BS Engineering Technology degree provides superior technological and leadership qualities that employers desire.”

This new transfer opportunity is now in affect and applies to NTC students who began the Electromechanical Technology program at NTC during the Fall 2016 semester or after.
