April 4, 2016 (All day)
(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Juniors and seniors across northcentral Wisconsin are earning college credits at no cost by completing Dual Credit, college-level courses taught in area high schools through a partnership with Northcentral Technical College (NTC). Dual Credit allows students to earn college credit before they graduate high school, saving time and money during their college careers. On Friday, April 29, NTC will recognize the academic achievements of these students by celebrating Dual Credit Day.

“More students than ever are getting a jump start on their college education with Dual Credit,” said Tracy Ravn, NTC Pathways Director. “As a way to recognize this growing number, we’ve provided students with t-shirts that they can wear on Dual Credit Day as a reminder of their accomplishments.”

During the 2015-2016 academic year, more than 2,900 students from 29 high schools will complete Dual Credit. As a result, students will earn approximately 8,900 college credits with NTC, totaling nearly $1.2 million in college tuition.

For information about NTC’s Dual Credit, visit www.ntc.edu/dual-credit or contact Tracy Ravn at 715.803.1782.
