Student Recognition

Student Life recognizes the time and effort NTC students put into their involvement with clubs. To highlight and celebrate their accomplishments, advisors and club officers will be invited to attend the annual Student Recognition Banquet. Each club is additional encouraged to apply for the awards listed below.

A club advisor is an integral part of student clubs, serving as a resource person, encourager, mentor, and even friend. This award was established by Tom Goltz, a former Executive of Student Services, to acknowledge the important role of advisors.

The Medical Laboratory Technician Club hosts multiple blood drives per year. To increase donations, clubs recruit and refer donors to the drives. MLT Club created the Karl Landsteiner Award to honor club that has recruited the most blood donors throughout the year.

Every year, NTC selects one student to represent the college as our district ambassador. We count on nominations from the NTC community to identify students who are engaged in the college community, strong academic performers, and a great representation of the impact of technical education. Nominees are narrowed down to semi-finalists who participate in an interview to select the recipient.

Timberwolf Challenge Cup Recipients

Timberwolf Challenge Cup

From November through May, participating clubs form monthly teams who compete in timed challenges aimed to strengthen their critical thinking, teamwork abilities, and communication skills. Points are awarded for each challenge and the team with the highest points at the end of the year is named the Timberwolf Challenge Cup Champions.
