Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What is the time commitment?
Answer: Your success as a student is our number one priority. We will work with you to effectively manage your time so you can do well in your classes and still play competitively. You will work as a team to schedule between 6-10 hours a week to practice as a team at our NTC Arena. You will be expected to practice a few hours a week from home as well but must make time for your studies and wellness including exercise and a consistent sleep schedule.
Question: Do I need a gaming computer?
Answer: You do not need a gaming computer as long as you are able to practice at our Arena on campus in Wausau. If not, and you are still interested in being on the team, please contact the head coach Jon DeGroot at email@example.com.
Question: How long can I play on the team?
Answer: You can play on the team as long as you are a student who meets eligibility requirements or up to 5 years.
Question: Can I be a team member of multiple games?
Answer: No, your success as a student is our number one priority. We will work with you to effectively manage your time so you can do well in your classes and still play competitively.
Question: What are the requirements to join?
Answer: You must be a current student at NTC and be enrolled in at least 12 credits per semester. Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Demonstrate your skills and ability to communicate and work as a team through a tryout of the game you choose
Question: What happens if I’m on the team and my GPA drops below 2.0?
Answer: If your GPA drops below 2.0 you will not be able to compete on the team until you are able to bring your GPA back up.
