How do I get an NTC library card?
Your current NTC Student or Staff ID card is your library card. For additional information on Student IDs see: studentlife.ntc.edu/student-id-cards/.
How can I get research help?
The NTC Library staff is here to assist students with their research needs. Stop by the Library, call 715.803.1115, email or chat with us and the Library staff will be happy to help you get started.
How do I find peer-reviewed articles?
Many of our databases provide access to peer-reviewed journals. The best approach is to use our single search box and then filter by “Peer Reviewed.”
How do I find ebooks?
The NTC Library has subscriptions to ebook content through Ebrary, EBSCOhost, Gale Virtual Reference Library, Credo and SpringerLink. You can search these databases individually at our ebooks page. To search our entire ebook collection, enter keywords at the single search box. Next, limit your search to Print and eBooks Only.
Can I print at the Library?
Yes! You may print using the library's computers or your own laptop or mobile device. Printing is automatically deducted from your student account at $0.05 per page for black & white printing and $0.25 for color printing. You can add funds to your student printing account by cash/check during Library hours or online at http://printing.ntc.edu:8080/.
Do you have textbooks at the Library?
Textbooks may be purchased at the NTC Campus Store. A limited number of textbooks are available as Course Reserves at the Library. Ask your instructor if this option is available for your course.
Are laptops available for students?
Yes, laptops may be checked out for four hours, for in-library use. You can also checkout a laptop for offsite use for a month. Contact your advisor to request one. Bring your NTC ID to the Library’s Service Desk and fill out our Computer Agreement. Headphones, power cords, and computer mice are also available.
What about cell phones in the Library?
Cell phones may be used in study rooms. Please silence your ring tones inside of the Library. Apple and Android cell phone chargers may be checked out with your NTC Student ID.
How do I log onto library databases when I’m off campus?
To access library resources off campus, enter the same username and password that you use for Canvas, MyNTC, or to log onto an NTC computer.
How can NTC students apply for library jobs for NTC?
Search for Student/Workstudy Job openings at https://ntc.peopleadmin.com.
