The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point (UWSP) at Wausau and Northcentral Technical College (NTC) have partnered to create “The Purple and Blue Advantage,” which gives students the opportunity to earn a four-year degree in Wausau while lowering the cost of education and preparing learners for high-demand jobs that are available locally.
Two Colleges. One Location. Expanded Opportunities.
Starting fall 2026, UWSP at Wausau will co-locate with NTC at NTC’s Wausau campus. From state-of-the-art labs and academic support to extracurricular activities, students from both colleges can thrive in an environment designed for success. Students from either college will have access to events, clubs, intramurals and leadership-building opportunities.
Being able to stay in Wausau makes it easier for me to get to school and work while staying close to my family and my community.

Seamless Transfer
Advisors at both colleges work together to refer students to the right programs to meet their academic goals. This shared approach means students benefit from the combined knowledge of two advising teams, with clear guidance on coursework, transfer pathways and degree requirements. Shared advising is designed to help students get to the right college, in the right program at the right time.
Purple and Blue Advantage Scholars
Begin at NTC, continue toward a bachelor’s degree through UWSP, and build your future close to home. The Purple and Blue Advantage Scholars program helps make this pathway more affordable, creating opportunities to learn, work, and thrive in Central Wisconsin.
The first 50 eligible applicants will receive a $500 scholarship toward NTC tuition. After completing at least one year at NTC and maintaining the required minimum GPA, recipients will be eligible to apply for an additional $1,000 scholarship at UWSP.
