A transcript is a record of your work as a student, and shows the courses you’ve taken and your grades. All transcripts are permanently retained in our Student Information System (SIS). You have the option to request an official or unofficial version. The situation in which you plan to use your transcript will dictate which option you’ll need.
Official Transcripts
If you’re applying for a job, trying to gain licensure in a specific field or transferring to another college, you’ll most likely need an official transcript. The cost for official transcripts starts at $5, but the price may vary depending on how quickly you need it shipped.
You can get an official transcript through Workday by following the directions below.
- Login to Workday (if you have forgotten your Workday account information, select “Can’t access your account?”)
- Select “Academics Hub”
- Select “Request Official Transcript” under Suggested Links
- You will be redirected to Parchment to place your order
Please Note
- Keep Transcripts Sealed. Official transcripts must remain sealed or unopened if you choose to have them shipped directly to you. The option also exists to send these directly to an employer or school.
- Post-secondary vs. Continuing Education: Post-Secondary transcripts list courses that award credit and can be applied toward a degree, diploma or certificate. Continuing Education transcripts show courses that are non-credit based and can’t be applied toward a degree or diploma, as they focus on a specific occupational skill or provide self-enrichment.

GED/HSED Transcripts
You may also request official and unofficial transcripts for the work you’ve completed on your General Education Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED). These would be used for many of the same reasons as post-secondary transcripts, including applying for a job or admission into a school.
Official GED/HSED Transcripts
Please note that NTC does not maintain the records of GED/HSED transcripts. Even if you completed your GED at NTC, you will need to submit an order form to the Department of Public Instruction if you would like to request an official GED or HSED transcript or duplicate diploma.
- There is a $15 fee for each diploma or transcript requested
- Please allow 3–5 weeks for transcript or diploma to be mailed
Unofficial GED/HSED Transcripts
There are two ways to request unofficial GED/HSED transcripts, depending on your completion date and how you took the test.
- If you completed your test on a computer after Jan. 1, 2014, GED/HSED unofficial transcripts can be obtained through your myged account.
- If you tested on paper or before 2014, you can request an unofficial transcript through your GED Wizard account.
Diploma Replacement Requests
Northcentral Technical College issues only one diploma for each degree awarded. A replacement diploma may be requested if the original diploma has been lost, damaged, destroyed, or if it is required for employment or educational purposes.
To request a reprint of your NTC diploma, please complete the Diploma Reprint Request form.
The replacement diploma will bear the original date of program completion but will have the signatures of the current administration. Requests for a replacement diploma may take up to two weeks to be processed. There is a fee of $10.00 per diploma.
