This class is designed to educate students on different types and species of wild mushrooms in Wisconsin. Students will learn key identification practices, which species are approved for wild foraging, and correct handling and storage of wild harvested fungi. Completion of this course and passing the required state exam results in a three year certification in the state of Wisconsin to sell approved wild foraged fungi to grocery stores and restaurants.
