Study animal behavior, restraint, basic medical procedures, nutrition, and husbandry as they relate to common domestic species. Learners will also examine the Animal Welfare act regarding the care and housing of animals.

Conditions
Prerequisites: 10-091-214 VERTEBRATE ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY 1 and 10-091-172 VETERINARY MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY. Condition: Accepted in the Veterinary Technician Associate Degree.
