Introduces the key financial concepts that an agriculture businessperson needs to understand. Learners explore three primary financial statements: balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement. Methods of financial risk management will include topics on debt-use, investment of land, facilities, machinery, and/or livestock. Four key finance concepts: solvency, liquidity, profitability, and efficiency will be explored using financial ratio analysis.
