This interactive two-hour training session provides participants with a solid understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) principles and safe practices required for controlling hazardous energy during maintenance or servicing of machinery. The course will cover OSHA requirements, types of energy sources, proper lockout devices, and the step-by-step application of LOTO procedures. Session Breakdown: •    Overview & Regulations – Introduction to LOTO, why it’s critical, and an overview of OSHA 1910.147. •    Hazardous Energy Types & Control Methods – Identification of energy sources (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, etc.) and how to isolate them. •    The Six-Step LOTO Procedure – Detailed instruction on each required step, including verification and communication protocols. •    Hands-On Demonstration – Trainer-led walkthrough of a LOTO application on sample or actual equipment. •    Individual Assessments – Each participant will demonstrate the LOTO procedure on a training setup or simulated equipment under supervision, using a checklist to ensure compliance with each required step. •    Q&A and Wrap-Up – Address participant questions and reinforce key takeaways. Outcome: Participants will leave with the knowledge and confidence to perform LOTO safely and correctly. Successful completion of the hands-on assessment will serve as documentation of individual LOTO procedure competency.
