Students completing this course will gain a fundamental understanding of the principles of lean and will be able to apply them to a work setting. Concepts such as value chain, kanban, kaizen, set-up reduction, value stream mapping, error proofing, total productive maintenance, theory of constraints, batch production, etc. are all covered in this fast-paced, team-based course. Students will participate on a team to apply the concepts in the classroom as well as in an actual work setting.
