As required by 29 CFR 1910.178, operators of Powered Industrial Trucks must complete training (including formal instruction, practical training, and an evaluation of performance). This course assists in meeting training requirements by providing principles and procedures in the safe operation of powered industrial trucks/forklifts. The class is a total of 6 hours in length. Participants will learn: • Forklift Basics • Inspection and Maintenance • Operation, picking up and delivering loads -Includes a site tour to identify hazards • Refueling / Charging • Parking the forklift • Obstacle course and operator evaluation
