Description
This course will prepare learners to understand deaf centered learning, the barriers that currently exist, and methods to make academic content more accessible to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This course will use Theory of Deaf Mind to evaluate question types and structures, reading passages, math problems and other academic content for accessible alternatives, learn how to identify cognitive challenges and academic gaps, and mediating those gaps with practical tools and language remedies.
