Application of essential math skills for entry level machining careers. Course work will cover arithmetic concepts involving whole numbers, order of operations, fractions, and decimals. Introduction and application of tolerances, perimeter, circumference, area, volume, ratios and proportions. Basic algebraic formulas commonly used in the lab will also be practiced such as calculation of spindle speeds and feed rates for machining applications.
