This course is designed to provide the apprentice with the concepts and techniques used in computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) as part of their related instruction.
This course introduces the apprentice to the basics of stamping and diemaking. Topics include the basic terminology, blanking, piercing, bending and related basic operations. In addition learners will discover the basics of the theory and background knowledge related of stamping and die making. This course was designed for related instruction for tool and die, stamping die and mold makers.
Introduces the learner to basic CNC Milling setup and operation. Learners begin the course understanding the control panel of a CNC Milling Machine, common tooling used in a CNC Milling Machine and program set-up sheets. From there, learners run existing programs and eventually make minor edits to produce parts to print specifications.

This course will acquaint the apprentice with the skills to interpret the geometric dimensions and tolerances found on engineering drawings and in other industrial documents. Instruction concentrates on interpreting symbols, identifying tolerance zones and determining ways to check parts for conformity to the specified geometric controls.
This clinical experience applies nursing concepts and therapeutic nursing interventions to groups of patients across the lifespan. It also provides an introduction to leadership, management, and team building.
Introduces learners to the fundamentals of CNC milling setup and operation. Learners practice running existing programs and make very simple edits under guidance to produce parts that meet basic print specifications.
Apply and learn the operation of mills, lathes, drilling, grinding and general machining practices. This course is designed to give the learner the theory and hands-on training leading to the ability to work in a Machine Tool Lab. Individual part fabricating and precision measurement are covered.
This course introduces the apprentice to the concepts of jig and fixture design as part of their apprenticeship related instruction. Topics include the basic elements of tool design, jig and fixture application, and the actual design of tooling.
Applies shop safety guidelines and becomes familiar with common machine shop equipment. Focuses on drill press, power saw, elementary lathe and mill operations and pedestal grinding machines. Learners will gain knowledge in layout tools and procedures and the proper use of hand tools in the shop.
Provides fundamentals of computer-controlled machine tools to include conversational language and basic G & M code programming. Emphasis on increasing productivity, setup procedures, reliability, repeatability and flexibility. Basic G & M codes work coordinates machine axis information associated with CNC machining will be taught.
Prepares learners for Machine Tool Lab classes. Safety, the use of basic hand tools, power tools, and an overview of Manual and CNC machines are covered to aid the prospective machinist to work safely and efficiently in a Machine Tool Lab.
Provides fundamental applications of basic arithmetic skills involving whole numbers, fractions and decimals, introducing basic algebra while solving problems using provided formulas unique and specific to the machining trade.
This course introduces the apprentice to the basic mold making process, mold construction and components, and materials. The course provides related instruction for the tool and die, stamping die and mold makers apprenticeship programs.
This advanced clinical course requires the student to integrate concepts from all previous courses in the management of groups of clients facing complex health alterations. Students will have the opportunity to further develop critical thinking skills using the nursing process in making clinical decisions. Continuity of care through interdisciplinary collaboration is emphasized.
This course focuses on the development of advanced clinical skills across the lifespan. Content includes advanced intravenous skills, blood product administration, chest tube systems, basic electrocardiogram interpretation and nasogastric/feeding tube insertion.
Prepares learners to perform basic nursing skills under the supervision of a nurse for job entry as a nursing assistant or a home health aide (HHA) in health care agencies. Face-to-face and hybrid classroom, campus lab and clinical instruction are offered at various nursing homes and hospitals throughout the district. Students need to submit an application and complete background check.
This course focuses on topics related to health promotion for individuals and families throughout the lifespan. We will cover nursing care of the developing family, which includes reproductive issues, pregnancy, labor and delivery, post-partum, the newborn, and the child. Recognizing the spectrum of healthy families we will discern patterns associated with adaptive and maladaptive behaviors applying mental health principles. An emphasis is placed on teaching and supporting healthy lifestyles choices for individuals of all ages. Nutrition, exercise, stress management, empowerment, and risk reduction practices are highlighted. Study of the family will cover dynamics, functions, discipline styles, and stages of development.
This intermediate level clinical course develops the RN role when working with clients with complex health care needs. A focus of the course is developing skills needed for managing multiple clients across the lifespan and priorities. Using the nursing process, students will gain experience in adapting nursing practice to meet the needs of clients with diverse needs and backgrounds.
