This American Red Cross Babysitting Certification course will prepare youth to be safe, effective, and responsible babysitters. The training is designed to provide universal skills in areas that every babysitter should know, including basic care for infants and children, basic First Aid, child behavior and appropriate activities, emergency protocols, and more.
This course has 2 components: an online portion and an instructor-led classroom portion. You must complete the online portion first. Provides the learner with a final opportunity to incorporate their cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills through labs and scenario-based practice and evaluations prior to taking the National Registry examinations. Technical skills attainment (TSA) for each student will be compiled and/or documented within this course as required by the DHS-approved paramedic curriculum. Learners will also participate in a field capstone internship as identified by CoAEMSP accreditation in which the learner must be provided with an opportunity to serve as team leader in a variety of pre-hospital advanced life support emergency medical situations.
