Builds on skills learned in Truck Driving 1 and 2, as students hone skills and practice to test for a Class A Commercial Driver License. This course will focus on hands-on training in advanced driving operations, backing skills, weight distribution techniques, and trip planning.
Introduces learners to the laws, regulations and various certification levels of a Commercial Driver License (CDL). Introduces learners to the basic operation of a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle.
Prepares learners in the operation of commercial motor vehicles. Extensive hands-on training will be implemented throughout the course on tractor-trailers, giving the learner the skills needed to test for a Class A Commercial Driver License. Limited lecture will be used to inform students of industry regulations, driver safety, inspections and communication.
This American Heart Association approved course covers adult and pediatric CPR and FBAO, two-rescuer CPR, barrier devices and AED. The course focuses on the needs of the professional caregiver. This American Red Cross Babysitting Certification course will prepare youth to be safe, effective, and responsible babysitters. The training is designed to provide universal skills in areas that every babysitter should know, including basic care for infants and children, basic First Aid, child behavior and appropriate activities, emergency protocols, and more.

The AHA’s PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. The goal of PALS is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
Provides the learner with the opportunity to enhance his or her learning through the practice of paramedicine in field and health care environment experiences with actual patients under the supervision of instructors or approved preceptors. Successful completion of this course requires the learner to meet all clinical/field requirements leading up to the paramedic field capstone phase of education.

Graduates emerge well-equipped to meet the rigorous standards of both state and national certification as EMRs or as EMTs.

Prepares the learner for the Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Exam using classroom and online resources to develop knowledge of non-driving aspects of operating Class B vehicles. Some of this content includes regulations, hours-of-service rules, driver wellness/fatigue, and medical requirements. In combination with the Class B CDL 1, the content of this course meets or exceeds the minimum federal training requirements for Entry Level Driver Training of a Class B commercial vehicle.

Pre/co-requisites: Current Healthcare Provider CPR or plans to obtain Healthcare Provider CPR in 30-531-301 Emergency Medical Responder/ Emergency Medical Technician - Part 1. - AND - Completion of 30-531-301 Emergency Medical Responder/ Emergency Medical Technician - Part 1 within one year of start date, - OR - currently enrolled in 30-531-301 Emergency Medical Responder/ Emergency Medical Technician - Part 1 - OR - or current State of WI Emergency Medical Responder License.
This course has 2 components: an online portion and an instructor-led classroom portion. You must complete the online portion first. Upon successful completion of the EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) Refresher course, the learner will be eligible to renew their WI State License and renew their National Registry Certification.
Provides the learner with a final opportunity to incorporate their cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills through labs and scenario-based practice and evaluations prior to taking the National Registry examinations. Technical skills attainment (TSA) for each student will be compiled and/or documented within this course as required by the DHS-approved paramedic curriculum. Learners will also participate in a field capstone internship as identified by CoAEMSP accreditation in which the learner must be provided with an opportunity to serve as team leader in a variety of pre-hospital advanced life support emergency medical situations.
