Learners will complete the following services in a salon setting: manicuring, pedicuring, cutting, styling, scalp treatments, and hair coloring. Competencies will include determining how a front desk is run, along with the importance of inventory control and record keeping. Safety and infection control will be practiced throughout this course.

  • The Multiple Offender Program is a specialized education program for individuals who have experienced two or more operating while intoxicated (OWI) charges. The course will examine individual attitudes toward drinking/driving and develop a personal plan to identify and change behaviors that lead to repeat offenses. The participation of a Concerned Other (minimum of two sessions) is required. This course is open only to those who have had a court-ordered assessment from an approved assessment agency.

These violations may include Juvenile Alcohol (possession, consumption, purchasing or attempting to purchase) and Underage Alcohol Operation (Absolute Sobriety Law violation), among others. The program’s goals are to educate young people about the risks and consequences of alcohol and other drug use and to help them to develop skills and a personal action plan to avoid future problems.
