Manual Transmission 10458109

Prepares students for the CDL road test by teaching safe and efficient operation of manual transmission commercial trucks using proper shifting techniques, including double-clutching and progressive shifting. It supports CDL candidates and CDL holders removing a manual transmission restriction in improving vehicle control, fuel-efficient driving habits, and confidence in real-world road and yard maneuvers.

Occupational safety is important in every work environment. Designed for general industry workers, foremen, job supervisors and anyone involved in general industry, the Outreach Training Program courses are an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by the Occupational Safety Health Act (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910. When required by OSHA standards, workers must receive additional training on the specific hazards of their job. This training is recommended by OSHA. Attendees will receive an NTC certificate of completion, plus the official blue general industry wallet card issued by OSHA, to certify they successfully completed the course.

Builds on skills learned in Truck Driving 1 and 2, as students hone skills and practice to test for a Class A Commercial Driver License. This course will focus on advanced driving operations, backing skills, and non-driving aspects of the transportation industry.

Workplace Safety 10449122

Explores the current best practices in safety and first aid. This course examines current OSHA safety regulations within industry while also covering important basic emergency skills of AHA first aid and CPR. Learners receive the OSHA 10 general industry card along with the AHA Heartsaver 1st Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
