Using LEGO Mindstorms, campers will design, build, and program their own robots to complete exciting challenges. Along the way, students will learn the fundamentals of robotics, problem-solving, teamwork, and logical thinking — all in a fun, hands-on environment.
No coding experience? Perfect! This camp is built for beginners and curious creators alike. By the end of the week, students will have programmed real robots and discovered how technology powers the world around them.

Campers will learn the foundations of Python — one of the most widely used programming languages in the world — while building interactive programs, solving real-world problems, and exploring how coding connects to careers in technology, data, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
Whether students are brand new to coding or have experimented before, this camp challenges them to think logically, solve problems creatively, and build something they’re proud of. No prior experience required.

Spend an action-packed 4 days at Northcentral Technical College exploring exciting careers in sports and recreation! Through hands-on activities, fun field trips, and learning directly from industry professionals, you’ll discover how the games, programs, and events you love come to life. Wrap up the week by designing your own recreation program to show off everything you’ve learned!
During the week, students will be tasked with a challenge to create a brand and create materials to match their branding. Students will start by designing items and then printing them in our state-of-the-art lab. Through this camp, students will learn about mass producing items with graphics such as stickers, shirts, boxes, packaging, and other promotional items.
Learn how to use Adobe After Effects to create basic animation with text and shapes. We'll begin by covering the After Effects interface, creating a composition and various shapes. You'll then learn how to work with keyframes and properties to animate objects and export them to share. You'll have a chance to experiment and animate to music.
During this camp our NTC welding faculty member will lead the students through hands-on activities in the areas of welding, engineering and machine tool. The students will tour a local manufacturer, hear from role models working in the industry, and create a project they can be proud of. The camp wraps up with a celebration where students can showcase what they’ve learned and created.
Integrate the theory, practice and reflection of coursework. Provide services to guests in Studio Max Salon. Learners will perform services under the supervision of an instructor. Evaluate time management on service time to reflect industry readiness and manage salon flow efficiently. Learners will complete this course by working and observing on and off campus salon environments. Safety and Infection control will be practiced throughout this course.
Investigates historical perspectives of microbiology, microscopy, characteristics of procaryotic and eucaryotic microorganisms, control of microbial growth, microbial genetics, and classification of microorganisms, principles of disease, epidemiology, immunology and pathogenic microbiology.
Nitro-X Automotive Summer Camp is designed to introduce middle school students to transportation careers. Students will work with NTC faculty, staff, and industry professionals to prepare, paint, and customize a remote-control car using the same materials and techniques used in the collision repair industry. Throughout the week, students will learn about various transportation careers through hands-on activities, field trips to dealerships and auto shops, and will prepare the car for the final race day.
Prepares learners to perform basic nursing skills under the supervision of a nurse for job entry as a nursing assistant or a home health aide (HHA) in health care agencies. Face-to-face and hybrid classroom, campus lab and clinical instruction are offered at various nursing homes and hospitals throughout the district. Students need to submit an application and complete background check.
The Presidential Leadership Camp is a prestigious summer camp where students who are accepted participate in fun and engaging career exploration, leadership building, and community service activities while being immersed in the college environment.
This third level clinical course prepares radiography students to perform radiologic procedures on patients with varying degrees of direct and indirect supervision. Students apply radiation protection and standard precautions in the production of radiographic images in a health care setting while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. An emphasis of the course is the demonstration of communication and critical thinking skills appropriate to the clinical setting.
Learn how to write a screenplay and translate it into a short fictional video. Activities include generating ideas for a short fictional film, creating a shot list, directing actors, shooting a scene, and editing a 1-2 minute video using Adobe Premiere Pro software. Participants will work in teams with the class members as their cast and crew.
This course provides youth between ages 12 to 16 with the necessary requirements to be certified for compliance under Wisconsin Act 455 to operate tractors or self-propelled machinery for their own family on public roads. This course also meets the requirements for the U.S. Department of Labor Agriculture Hazards Occupation Order for youth 14-15 years of age employed on a farm other than their family farm.
Introduces learners to the laws, regulations and various certification levels of a Commercial Driver License (CDL). Introduces learners to the basic operation of a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle.
Prepares learners in the operation of commercial motor vehicles. Extensive hands-on training will be implemented throughout the course on tractor-trailers, giving the learner the skills needed to test for a Class A Commercial Driver License. Limited lecture will be used to inform students of industry regulations, driver safety, inspections and communication.
Develop knowledge in anesthesia and surgical assisting with an emphasis on Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment (COHAT) for companion animals.
Explore emergency and critical care of common domestic species. Topics covered include cardiopulmonary arrest, toxicology, care of hospitalized patients, and advanced nursing procedures.
