K–12 Events

We open our doors to thousands of students interested in career and education exploration every year. In addition to our regularly scheduled campus tours, the K–12 events listed on this page give elementary, middle and high school students opportunities to start thinking about their futures and planning their post-secondary education.

VIP Registration

Wednesday, April 4, 2018 (All day)

Incoming students have the opportunity to meet with their advisor and schedule their classes for the fall semester. In addition, they can learn about NTC resources, speak to someone about financial aid and take a tour of campus.

Welding & Mechanical Design Competition

Tuesday, April 10, 2018 (All day)

High school students will submit welding and mechanical design projects into a competition that will be judged by professionals in the industry.

8th Grade Career Fair

Friday, April 13, 2018 - 9:30am to 2:15pm

This annual event is an opportunity for 8th grade students to learn more about career opportunities in Central Wisconsin, the job duties associated with those careers and also what education and training is required. In addition, many schools also tour NTC's Wausau Campus and Agriculture Center of Excellence.

Juniors and seniors are invited to put their craftsmanship to the test at NTC's state-of-the-art Wood Technology Center of Excellence located at NTC's Antigo Campus.

Machine Tool Technology Camp

Monday, June 11, 2018 - 8:00am to Tuesday, June 12, 2018 - 4:00pm

Experience a future career as a machinist through hands-on learning at NTC by machining a part on a 5-axis mill and discovering how NTC’s Machine Tool program can be the right next step on your educational journey. During this two-day event, you will also travel to area businesses to learn about exciting career opportunities for machinists in central Wisconsin.
