(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) has been named as one of the top training colleges in North America by the Learning Resources Network (LERN), the leading association in continuing education and workforce development. NTC is one of only 11 colleges in North America to receive this recognition. The award honors the work of NTC’s Workforce Training + Professional Development team, which works with employers to deliver customized training solutions, technical assistance and consulting that drive measurable business results.

“The award is for innovation in the field of continuing education and serving communities,” noted LERN President William A. Draves. “These awards enhance the quality and involvement in lifelong learning, an absolutely critical component to individual and community quality of life and prosperity in this century.”

This marks the third time that NTC has been named a top training college in the nation by LERN in the past six years.

“It is an honor for our team to be recognized by LERN,” said Dr. Brad Gast, Dean of Workforce Training and Professional Development at Northcentral Technical College. “Each year, we have the privilege to serve more than 900 businesses and over 10,000 professionals. We are committed to delivering high quality, responsive solutions that help organizations strengthen performance, adapt to change, and remain competitive in a global economy.”

NTC’s Workforce Training and Professional Development team designs and delivers customized training for businesses across the region. Programs are offered onsite at employer locations or at NTC campuses in Wausau, Antigo, Wittenberg, Phillips, Medford and Spencer.
