(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is pleased to recognize the 25 year anniversary of its Spencer campus. When the campus opened in 1994, NTC offered approximately 30 two-year associate degree programs. Twenty five years later, that number has grown to nearly 50 associate degrees and 190+ total degree options including short-term technical diplomas and certificates.

“We are proud to be an integral part of the Spencer community and to not only offer opportunities for high school students to get a jump start on college, but also degrees leading to in-demand jobs locally,” said Shanna Hackel, Dean of NTC’s Regional Campuses. “We value our partnerships in Spencer and our continued progress to provide affordable, accessible education for everyone.”

Approximately 1,155 people take at least one class at NTC’s Spencer campus each year. Based on last year’s enrollment data, the top five programs at NTC’s Spencer campus were:

  1. Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  2. Nursing
  3. Accounting
  4. Business Management
  5. Veterinary Science

The campus also offers several continuing classes to the public throughout the year such as computer and smartphone basics, a holiday cookie cook off class and CPR basics or refreshers.

The fall semester begins on Tuesday, September 3. If you are interested in learning more about the classes or programs available at NTC’s Spencer campus, call 715.659.5120 or email ntcspencer@ntc.edu.
