(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) will play host to a three-part series focused on understanding and overcoming addiction as a community. The series, Overcoming Addiction Together, will be held at NTC’s Wausau campus in the Center for Health Sciences Conference Center on May 16, July 18 and August 15 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The series will focus on several aspects of overcoming addiction, including: the science behind addiction, boosting skills and learning about resources to overcome trauma and addiction, and caring for oneself while caring for those who are challenged with substance use disorders. The series is open to healthcare, public health and behavioral health professionals, recovery coaches, social workers, educators, law enforcement/safety/courtroom professionals, students, concerned loved-ones and community members.

Registration is $20 per session or $50 for all three sessions. Students and recovery coaches can attend part or all of the sessions free of charge.
