(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is pleased to announce the lineup of K-12 summer camps for 2025, designed to inspire and educate students across a variety of fields. These engaging programs offer hands-on experiences that foster curiosity, skill development and career exploration.
Engineering STEM Camp: Design and Product Development
Description: In partnership with Engineering Tomorrow and Learn Build Fly, this camp immerses students in the field of engineering through hands-on instructional labs. Participants will engage in design and product development projects, guided by professional engineers.
Date: June 9 - 11, 2025, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Grade: Students entering grades 8 - 10
Summer CNC Career Exploration Program
Description: This hands-on program allows participants to explore CNC machining by working with programming software and operating CNC machinery to create a take-home project. The experience also includes physics experiments related to daily tasks of a machinist.
Date: June 9 + 10, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Age: Anyone ages 17 and up
Graphic Communications: Design and Print Camp
Description: Students interested in branding and production will create their own brand and produce materials such as stickers, T-shirts and packaging. The camp offers hands-on experience with design and printing processes in NTC’s state-of-the-art lab.
Date: June 9 - 16, 9 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Phillips Introduction to Welding Camp
Description: Hosted at NTC’s Phillips campus, this camp introduces students to welding basics, allowing them to create a project to take home.
Date: June 11, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Kocourek Auto Group’s Nitro-X Automotive Summer Camp
Description: This camp offers hands-on activities in welding, machine tool and engineering as students design and build a take-home project.
Date: June 16 - 19 OR June 23 - June 26, 8:15 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Grade: Students entering grades 6 - 10
Make It Real: Imagine, Design, Manufacture
Description: This camp offers hands-on activities in welding, machine tool and engineering as students design and build a take-home project.

Make It Real: Veterinary Technician
Description: Animal lovers can explore the veterinary technician career by experiencing what it’s like to work in a veterinary office, learning skills necessary for providing medical and nursing care to various animal species and touring NTC’s Agriculture Center of Excellence.
Date: June 17, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Age: Students ages 14 to 17
Make It Real: Healthcare
Description: This immersive, one-day camp allows students to explore various healthcare careers through hands-on activities, covering fields such as nursing, surgical technology, radiology, respiratory therapy and phlebotomy.
Date: June 25, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Grade: Students entering grades 8 - 12
Presidential Leadership Camp
Description: This camp focuses on developing skills through fun, hands-on activities related to career exploration, leadership building and community service while being immersed in the college environment.
Date: June 8 - 10, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (7 p.m. on the 10th)
Grade: Students entering grades 7 + 8
Make It Real: For Our Community
Description: Students will collaborate to design and build a project benefiting a community partner, applying skills learned in previous camps.
Date: June 14 - 17, 8:15 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Grade: Students entering grades 6 - 10
Young Women’s Welding Workshop
Description: This workshop empowers young women to develop welding skills through hands-on activities in welding and engineering.
Date: July 22 + 23, 8:15 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Grade: Students entering grades 10 - 12
