We honor our students as they prepare to cross the graduation stage and continue their journey as NTC alumni. These are Emilynn’s reflections on her time at NTC.

Q: What do you find interesting/inspiring/compelling about your program?

A: I find it interesting that you can choose so many different paths with this [digital marketing] degree. You can work in marketing, or you can find a way to work in social media management, account management, etc. There is no path untaken when it comes to digital marketing. Every path you take is going to lead to something better than the last.

Q: What will you remember most fondly about your time at NTC?

A: The support that I had along the way. From my parents and family to the instructors who I have had since the beginning. There is so much love that is poured into the students and the school, and that is proven day after day.

Q: Please share a memory or highlight that stands out to you.

A: Amy Gajewski and Krista Reince, your kindness and the way you treat your students stood out the most. From Phi Theta Kappa Catalyst in 2025 to the most chaotic year of my life, you stood by and made sure that everything was taken care of, not only on your end, but on ours. You take time out of your day and genuinely talk with your students. You give them guidance, and you make sure that they feel comfortable stepping into the world before you send them off on a four-year degree or into the next chapter of working a full-time job. For that, thank you! I truly enjoyed every second of NTC because of you all.

Q: Please share how your involvement in extracurriculars shaped your experience at NTC.
A: I was involved in Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) and am now a PTK alum. It was a great experience, and no one can recreate the sense of community you have when you are there. We are all there trying to do our best and be our best.

Q: How do you feel about graduating?
A: Nervous but excited. I am ready to move into the next chapter, but I am also terrified because I have no idea what that looks like for me.

Q: What are your plans for after graduation?
A: I am planning on continuing my education and working towards a bachelor's degree at Bellevue University. I am going to be getting my bachelor's in marketing, and if the time is right and I feel as though I should continue, then I will also be receiving a master's in business administration.

Q: What are your hopes/dreams/aspirations?
A: I would love to own my own business and work as a freelance social media manager, but I know that it is hard to come by since so many are doing it. If that doesn’t happen, helping my current boss with his social media will work as well.

Q: Reflecting on the relationships you’ve built with classmates, instructors and staff, what is one thing you wish you could say to those who have supported you along the way?

A: Krista Reince - Thank you for showing unwavering strength and resilience even when there are adversities all around you. I watched someone who wanted to be the best they could for their students be just that. You took on a lot of challenges with PTK Catalyst, from rough flights, getting there late, and so many other things. But that didn’t stop you from making the best of a bad situation. You still sat there and guided us as you could or felt you needed to. That is a leader: work with the cards you are dealt and go from there.
Amy Gajewski - Thank you for being my strength and for showing me my “Why,” for giving me a chance and showing me that I am a better student than I thought. Because of you, I am where I am. I was nervous to take all new classes with all new instructors and to be fully remote. It was a lot. But then learning who you were, your teaching style and seeing how involved you were really helped. I was able to gain confidence in myself, and I learned how to believe in the little parts of myself that no one else did. I gave myself a chance and really made a difference.

Q: If you could go back to your first day at NTC and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?

A: It all gets better. Just let the pieces fall into place and quit trying to take control of everything.

Q: Reflecting on your growth throughout college, what is one aspect of yourself that you’ve seen evolve the most? How do you feel about the person you’ve become?

A: My confidence in my skills. I am thrilled to see this person. She has never had a chance to shine through, and she is happy that she gets that opportunity.
