The Academic Resource Center (ARC) provides academic support that is specifically designed to assist students who are currently enrolled in a class or area of study at Northcentral Technical College. Support is available in a variety of formats including in person and live online sessions.

Support Schedules

The following support schedules are for the Wausau campus. There are two Academic Resource Center locations at the Wausau campus: room C175 in the main campus building and room 2003 in the Center for Health Sciences. This support is also available at our regional campuses and off-campus via live online sessions.

Paper Reviews

Are you looking to get your paper, writing assignment, or research assignment reviewed by the writing coach? Follow the process below to get started.

  1. Email your paper to the Academic Resource Center at arc@ntc.edu.
    • When submitting a paper to the ARC please try to include the assignment description, rubric, and assignment due date.
  2. We will send you a detailed response with helpful feedback within 1-3 days.
    • If you submit your paper too close to the due date or if too many papers are submitted together, we may not have enough time to review and recommend you utilize NetTutor (see information below) instead.

Schedule a 1-on-1 Appointment

If you are looking for more assistance with your writing, APA, research, etc. you can also schedule a 1-on-1 appointment with the writing coach in-person or via Zoom through Starfish.

Here are the types of topics you can receive assistance with:

  • Reviewing your paper

NetTutor

NetTutor provides FREE third-party academic support for students at NTC. Support is available for a variety of subjects and can be accessed 24/7. Tutors are available for live sessions, to answer submitted questions, and to review papers. All questions and writing submissions to NetTutor will be returned with your tutor’s comments within 48 hours. All NetTutor tutors are highly qualified professional tutors.
