Explores agricultural risk management through crop insurance and commodity marketing. Learners examine the history and structure of agricultural insurance, including yield loss estimation, key terminology, policy types, and documentation. The course also introduces commodity futures markets, contract specifications, and trading basics, along with grain marketing principles from farm to elevator—covering storage policies, price spreads, and the development of an enterprise marketing plan.
