Instructs learners on current technologies used in heavy-duty diesel emission reduction systems. Topics include emission regulations, reduction strategies, system operation theory, and the environmental and ethical responsibilities associated with diesel emissions repair. Learners will diagnose, service, and repair exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems, diesel particulate filter (DPF) systems, and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) systems as aftertreatment technologies.
