Examines how recreation professionals promote belonging, equity, and accessibility across diverse populations. Considers how disability, culture, race, gender, age, and socioeconomic status influence recreation participation. Topics include inclusive program design, adaptive recreation, universal design, and effective communication and marketing strategies for reaching diverse groups. Emphasis is placed on professional leadership, advocacy, and the creation of welcoming recreation environments that encourage participation and community connection.
