This course prepares Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) certified law enforcement officers to effectively administer and teach the handgun and rifle training program. This course emphasizes teaching and learning techniques that promote active learning, supports learners with a variety of learning preferences and needs, and generates continuous improvements. This is a comprehensive instructor training on the justification for the use of deadly force, and the function, disassembly, troubleshooting, cleaning, maintenance, loading, unloading, reloading, malfunction clears, transition procedures in handgun and the modern police rifle.
Prepares the learner for the Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Exam using classroom and online resources to develop knowledge of non-driving aspects of operating Class B vehicles. Some of this content includes regulations, hours-of-service rules, driver wellness/fatigue, and medical requirements. In combination with the Class B CDL 1, the content of this course meets or exceeds the minimum federal training requirements for Entry Level Driver Training of a Class B commercial vehicle.
This American Red Cross Babysitting Certification course will prepare youth to be safe, effective, and responsible babysitters. The training is designed to provide universal skills in areas that every babysitter should know, including basic care for infants and children, basic First Aid, child behavior and appropriate activities, emergency protocols, and more.
The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) - Test Out is for a ONE-TIME try to challenge the CPAT course. Acknowledgment and waiver of CPAT orientation and/or conditioning period and/or timed practice runs will need to submitted.
The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) - Full Session includes the orientation, two (2) timed course practices and a CPAT test. During the orientation session, we will explain the testing process and how the equipment works. You will have the chance to ask questions and try the testing equipment. The pass rate of those who attend the orientations is higher than for those who do not, so it is highly recommended that you attend at least one of these orientations. The two practice tests are the same and we attempt to run the practice test under actual testing conditions. If the test is run under actual testing conditions and you successfully complete the test this is considered a PASS and you will not need to attend any further testing.
Prepares learners to perform basic nursing skills under the supervision of a nurse for job entry as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) or a home health aide (HHA) in health care agencies. Face-to-face and hybrid classroom, campus lab and clinical instruction are offered at various nursing homes and hospitals throughout the district. Prepares the participant to be able to perform the minimum hazardous material incident operations associated with firefighting functions at an advanced nationally recognized level under general supervision. The targeted audience is individuals who have completed the training required to meet the Fire Fighter I JPRs in NFPA 1001, and desire to increase their knowledge and skills base to the next level. This course is designed to provide the Fire Fighter II candidate with the information needed to meet the operational level competencies for the hazardous material first responder as referenced in the job performance requirements (JPRs) in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Chapter 4, 4-1.1. It is based on the National Fire Academy (NFA) Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Basic Concepts and Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Concepts Implementation curriculums.

Emphasizes basic fire behavior, techniques used to control structural and related fire emergencies and life safety practices. Learners perform all practical evolutions necessary to control and extinguish fires and otherwise meet all requirements for Firefighter 1 certification with the state of Wisconsin.
Provides the learner with the opportunity to enhance his or her learning through the practice of paramedicine in field and health care environment experiences with actual patients under the supervision of instructors or approved preceptors. Successful completion of this course requires the learner to meet all clinical/field requirements leading up to the paramedic field capstone phase of education.
This intermediate level clinical course develops the RN role when working with clients with complex health care needs. A focus of the course is developing skills needed for managing multiple clients across the lifespan and priorities. Using the nursing process, students will gain experience in adapting nursing practice to meet the needs of clients with diverse needs and backgrounds.
This advanced clinical course requires the student to integrate concepts from all previous courses in the management of groups of clients facing complex health alterations. Students will have the opportunity to further develop critical thinking skills using the nursing process in making clinical decisions. This 96-hour course prepares the participant to be able to perform fire fighting functions at the nationally recognized minimum levels under direct supervision. The targeted audience is individuals who desire to become Wisconsin Certified Fire Fighter I based on the requirements set by SPS 330.08, Employment standards, Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. This course is designed to provide the Fire Fighter I candidate with the information needed to meet the job performance requirements (JPRs) defined in NFPA 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Current Edition, Chapters 5.2 through 5.5. The participant must also complete the Hazardous Materials Operation level course in order to meet the remainder of the NFPA Fire Fighter I JPR requirements.

Further experience in a clinical setting allows the student to continue to improve technical skills while accepting more responsibilities during surgical procedures.
Provides the learner with a final opportunity to incorporate their cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills through labs and scenario-based practice and evaluations prior to taking the National Registry examinations. Technical skills attainment (TSA) for each student will be compiled and/or documented within this course as required by the DHS-approved paramedic curriculum. Learners will also participate in a field capstone internship as identified by CoAEMSP accreditation in which the learner must be provided with an opportunity to serve as team leader in a variety of pre-hospital advanced life support emergency medical situations.
