Extensive hands-on training will be implemented throughout the course on tractor-trailers, giving the learner the skills needed to test for a Class A Commercial Driver License. Limited lecture will be used to inform students of industry regulations, driver safety, inspections and communication.
Builds on skills learned in Truck Driving 1 and 2, as students hone skills and practice to test for a Class A Commercial Driver License. This course will focus on hands-on training in advanced driving operations, backing skills, weight distribution techniques, and trip planning.

Combined with Class B CDL 2, the content of this course meets or exceeds the minimum federal training requirements for Entry Level Driver Training. Prepares the learner for the Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Exam using classroom and online resources to develop knowledge of non-driving aspects of operating Class B vehicles. Some of this content includes regulations, hours-of-service rules, driver wellness/fatigue, and medical requirements. In combination with the Class B CDL 1, the content of this course meets or exceeds the minimum federal training requirements for Entry Level Driver Training of a Class B commercial vehicle.
Covers the theory and principles of blood cell production and function and introduces the learner to basic practices and procedures in the hematology laboratory.
Focuses on blood banking concepts and procedures including blood typing, compatibility testing, work ups for adverse reaction to transfusions, disease states and donor activities.
Provides an overview of the immune system including laboratory testing methods for diagnosis of immune system disorders, viral and bacterial infections.
This advanced clinical course requires the student to integrate concepts from all previous courses in the management of groups of clients facing complex health alterations. Students will have the opportunity to further develop critical thinking skills using the nursing process in making clinical decisions. Continuity of care through interdisciplinary collaboration is emphasized.

Requires medical assistant students to integrate and apply knowledge and skills from all previous medical assistant courses in actual ambulatory health care settings. Learners perform medical assistant administrative, clinical, and laboratory duties under the supervision of trained mentors to effectively transition to the role of a medical assistant. This is a supervised, unpaid, clinical experience.
