The course promotes relatively independent clinical decisions, delegation, and works collaboratively with others to achieve client and organizational outcomes. Continued professional development is fostered.
This intermediate level clinical course develops the RN role when working with clients with complex health care needs. A focus of the course is developing skills needed for managing multiple clients across the lifespan and priorities. Using the nursing process, students will gain experience in adapting nursing practice to meet the needs of clients with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Apply basic surgical theories, principles, and procedural techniques in the operating room. Students begin to function as team members under the guidance of the instructor and authorized clinical personnel.
Provides the learner with the opportunity to enhance his or her learning through the practice of paramedicine in field and health care environment experiences with actual patients under the supervision of instructors or approved preceptors. Successful completion of this course requires the learner to meet all clinical/field requirements leading up to the paramedic field capstone phase of education.
This advanced clinical course requires the student to integrate concepts from all previous courses in the management of groups of clients facing complex health alterations. Students will have the opportunity to further develop critical thinking skills using the nursing process in making clinical decisions. Continuity of care through interdisciplinary collaboration is emphasized.
This clinical experience applies nursing concepts and therapeutic nursing interventions to groups of patients across the lifespan. It also provides an introduction to leadership, management, and team building.
Continued development of Respiratory Therapy clinical skills including respiratory therapeutics. Focuses on monitoring, analyzing and interpreting data to make appropriate modifications in patient care. Emphasis is placed on promotion of evidence-based practice using established clinical practice guidelines and published research for its relevance to patient care.
This fourth level clinical course prepares radiography students to perform radiologic procedures on patients. The student transitions from direct to indirect supervision as competency performance increases. Students apply radiation protection and standard precautions in the production of radiographic images in a health care setting while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. Students are encouraged to demonstrate independent judgment in the performance of clinical competencies.

Assist in the ethical animal harvesting process. This process will cover transportation, unloading, and on-site slaughtering. Determine proper documentation and procedures to follow under State Inspection in various locations.

The targeted audience is individuals who have completed the training required to meet the Fire Fighter I JPRs of NFPA 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Chapter 5. These courses are designed to provide the Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator-Pumper candidate with the information needed to meet the job performance requirements (JPRs) in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1002, Standard for Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications, Chapters 4 and 5.
*Students are required to bring an In-Service Pumper Apparatus for practical skills class dates.

Upon successful completion of the EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) Refresher course, the learner will be eligible to renew their WI State License and renew their National Registry Certification.
Prepares learners to perform basic nursing skills under the supervision of a nurse for job entry as a nursing assistant or a home health aide (HHA) in health care agencies. Face-to-face and hybrid classroom, campus lab and clinical instruction are offered at various nursing homes and hospitals throughout the district. Students need to submit an application and complete background check.
This beginning level clinical course prepares radiography students to perform radiologic procedures on patients with extensive supervision and direction. Students apply radiation protection and standard precautions in the production of radiographic images while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. An emphasis of the course is the development of communication and critical thinking skills appropriate to the clinical setting.
This 40 hour course prepares the participant to perform fire fighting supervisor functions at a minimum nationally recognized level. The targeted audience is individuals who have completed the training required to meet the Fire Fighter II JPRs of NFPA 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualification, Chapter 6, and desire, or are required to increase their knowledge and skills to progress to the Fire Officer I Level. Completion of the 40 hour Emergency Services Instructor I course is also required in order to become certified as Fire Officer I. This course is designed to provide the Fire Officer I candidate with the information needed to meet the job performance requirements (JPRs) in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1021, Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications, Chapter 4. Curriculum for the course is based on the Jones & Bartlett, Fire Officer Principles and Practice, 4th Edition (ISBN: 978-1284172393). A written and practical skills certification exam is available to participants who successfully complete this course.
Further experience in a clinical setting allows the student to continue to improve technical skills while accepting more responsibilities during surgical procedures.
Provides the learner with a final opportunity to incorporate their cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills through labs and scenario-based practice and evaluations prior to taking the National Registry examinations. Technical skills attainment (TSA) for each student will be compiled and/or documented within this course as required by the DHS-approved paramedic curriculum. Learners will also participate in a field capstone internship as identified by CoAEMSP accreditation in which the learner must be provided with an opportunity to serve as team leader in a variety of pre-hospital advanced life support emergency medical situations.

Students apply radiation protection and standard precautions in the production of radiographic images in a health care setting while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. An emphasis of the course is the development of communication and critical thinking skills appropriate to the clinical setting.
Requires medical assistant students to integrate and apply knowledge and skills from all previous medical assistant courses in actual ambulatory health care settings. Learners perform medical assistant administrative, clinical, and laboratory duties under the supervision of trained mentors to effectively transition to the role of a medical assistant. This is a supervised, unpaid, clinical experience.
