PALS (PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT) is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. The goal of PALS is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. This American Heart Association approved course is delivered through the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI)® Program.

This seminar will bring to light the conversation of mental health, post traumatic stress, and building resiliency for those in the public safety professions. In this session participants will define mental health conditions such as post traumatic stress, anxiety, and depression and will identify the signs and symptoms to recognize these conditions both within themselves and with others, and will discuss available resources to seek help, and learn tactics and tools to increase mindfulness and resilience.

It is specifically designed to prepare students for state certification as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in Wisconsin, including successful preparation for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) examinations at the EMR Level. In addition to technical expertise, the course emphasizes the cultivation of professionalism, ethical conduct, and a steadfast dedication to safety within the field of emergency medical service. Graduates emerge well-equipped to meet the rigorous standards of both state and national certification as EMRs or as EMTs.
