Medical professionals who respond to cardiovascular emergencies in and out of the hospital enhance their treatment knowledge and skills through the AHA’s ACLS training courses.
Examines normal human anatomy and physiology using a body systems approach with emphasis on the interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels of organization. Cellular metabolism and the individual components of body systems will be explored. Continued examination of homeostatic mechanisms and their relationship to fluid, electrolyte, acid-base balance and blood and integration of genetics to human reproduction and development are also included in this course.
Provides preparation for the for the national certification examination prepared by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Simulated registry examinations are utilized.
This American Red Cross Babysitting Certification course will prepare youth to be safe, effective, and responsible babysitters. The training is designed to provide universal skills in areas that every babysitter should know, including basic care for infants and children, basic First Aid, child behavior and appropriate activities, emergency protocols, and more.
Explores laboratory science career options and the fundamental principles and procedures performed in the laboratory. Learners will utilize medical terminology and basic laboratory equipment. Learners will follow required safety and infection control procedures and perform simple laboratory tests.
This comprehensive training provides an introduction to tactical skills. Students will be introduced to basic SWAT topics, tactics and techniques including a historical overview of SWAT, team organization and structure, resolution of barricaded suspect situations, covert individual and team movement, searches and room clearing, chemical agents, less-lethal options, warrant service and multiple field training exercises. This is a hands-on course in which students practice tactics and techniques in the field as well as in the classroom.

The targeted audience is individuals who have completed the training required to meet the Fire Fighter I JPRs in NFPA 1010, and desire to increase their knowledge and skills base to the next level. This course is designed to provide the Fire Fighter II candidate with the information needed to meet the operational level competencies for the hazardous material first responder as referenced in the job performance requirements (JPRs) in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1010, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Chapter 4, 4-1.1. It is based on the National Fire Academy (NFA) Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Basic Concepts and Initial Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents: Concepts Implementation curriculums.
Apply advanced concepts involving digital electronics and electronic devices. Operational characteristics of advanced digital circuits will be explored and analyzed. Project based labs will allow learners to demonstrate an understanding of digital integrated circuits including combinational logic, counter circuits and storage circuits. IET 6 expands on IET 3 and IET 5.
Learn how to use Adobe After Effects to create basic animation with text and shapes. We'll begin by covering the After Effects interface, creating a composition and various shapes. You'll then learn how to work with keyframes and properties to animate objects and export them to share. You'll have a chance to experiment and animate to music.
Students are invited to explore NTC's welding lab in this summer camp experience. NTC welding faculty will lead students through the skills and equipment needed for welding design. Participants will learn welding basics and create a project to take home.
During this camp our NTC welding faculty member will lead the students through hands-on activities in the areas of welding, engineering and machine tool. The students will tour a local manufacturer, hear from role models working in the industry, and create a project they can be proud of. The camp wraps up with a celebration where students can showcase what they’ve learned and created.

Nitro-X Automotive Summer Camp is designed to introduce middle school students to transportation careers. Students will work with NTC faculty, staff, and industry professionals to prepare, paint, and customize a remote-control car using the same materials and techniques used in the collision repair industry. Throughout the week, students will learn about various transportation careers through hands-on activities, field trips to dealerships and auto shops, and will prepare the car for the final race day.
This class introduces traditional Thai floor massage; a fully clothed therapy performed on a floor mat. Students will learn hands-on techniques using the hands, arms, elbows, knees, and feet to apply rhythmic leaning pressure, reflexology, acupressure, assisted stretching, breathwork, and yoga-inspired postures. This meditative modality focuses primarily on the legs while also addressing the feet, abdomen, arms, hands, face, neck, shoulders, and back. The practice promotes deep relaxation, improved flexibility, balanced energy flow, and enhanced circulation while supporting physical alignment and emotional release.
This course focuses on the development of advanced clinical skills across the lifespan. Content includes advanced intravenous skills, blood product administration, chest tube systems, basic electrocardiogram interpretation and nasogastric/feeding tube insertion.
Prepares learners to perform basic nursing skills under the supervision of a nurse for job entry as a nursing assistant or a home health aide (HHA) in health care agencies. Face-to-face and hybrid classroom, campus lab and clinical instruction are offered at various nursing homes and hospitals throughout the district. Students need to submit an application and complete background check.
The AHA’s PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. The goal of PALS is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
This course teaches the paramedic learner to integrate assessment findings with principles of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, epidemiology and pathophysiology to formulate a field impression and implement a comprehensive treatment plan for a patient with a cardiovascular complaint.
Provides the learner with the opportunity to enhance his or her learning through the practice of paramedicine in simulation or in the health care environment. The experiences will be in simulation or with actual patients under the supervision of instructors or approved preceptors. Learners will also participate in formal high-fidelity human patient simulator experiences and assessment as a part of this course.
Researches the latest science-based recommendations for battling garden and field pest problems. Throughout this course, students will learn to identify pests and plant diseases. Learners will determine what corrective action should be taken, if any. Integrated pest management concepts are covered in this course.
All LE academy candidates and law enforcement recruits must complete and pass the physical readiness test. The test must by completed at a DOJ certified law enforcement academy. This test will meet that standard.

The Presidential Leadership Camp is a prestigious summer camp where students who are accepted participate in fun and engaging career exploration, leadership building, and community service activities while being immersed in the college environment.
This third level clinical course prepares radiography students to perform radiologic procedures on patients with varying degrees of direct and indirect supervision. Students apply radiation protection and standard precautions in the production of radiographic images in a health care setting while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. An emphasis of the course is the demonstration of communication and critical thinking skills appropriate to the clinical setting.
Introduces Respiratory Therapy practice in the hospital setting. Includes the development of skills such as basic therapeutics, patient assessment, medical record review, safety practices, patient interaction, and communication. Emphasis is placed on promotion of evidence-based practice using established clinical practice guidelines and published research for its relevance to patient care.
Learn how to write a screenplay and translate it into a short fictional video. Activities include generating ideas for a short fictional film, creating a shot list, directing actors, shooting a scene, and editing a 1-2 minute video using Adobe Premiere Pro software. Participants will work in teams with the class members as their cast and crew.
This course provides youth between ages 12 to 16 with the necessary requirements to be certified for compliance under Wisconsin Act 455 to operate tractors or self-propelled machinery for their own family on public roads. This course also meets the requirements for the U.S. Department of Labor Agriculture Hazards Occupation Order for youth 14-15 years of age employed on a farm other than their family farm.
Introduces learners to the laws, regulations and various certification levels of a Commercial Driver License (CDL). Introduces learners to the basic operation of a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle.
Prepares learners in the operation of commercial motor vehicles. Extensive hands-on training will be implemented throughout the course on tractor-trailers, giving the learner the skills needed to test for a Class A Commercial Driver License. Limited lecture will be used to inform students of industry regulations, driver safety, inspections and communication.

Explore emergency and critical care of common domestic species. Topics covered include cardiopulmonary arrest, toxicology, care of hospitalized patients, and advanced nursing procedures.
Examines weed identification concepts at various plant growth stages. Learners will develop the skills necessary to characterize and identify weeds in agronomic and garden settings. Hands-on activities include creating a weed portfolio using a plant press and identifying weed species in crop fields and gardens.
This course highlights the similarities in equipment and technique between the major arc welding processes. Students complete introductory level competencies in the GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes. Material preparation skills include shearing, sawing, grinding, and thermal cutting. This course is 40 hours for apprenticeship programs.
