Introduces the essential processes and skills of case management in substance use disorder treatment settings. Students will learn to conduct intake assessments, develop SMART goals for treatment plans, write progress notes, and navigate the discharge process in compliance with Wisconsin DHS 75 standards. Client rights, confidentiality, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and the principles of autonomy and self-determination are treated as non-negotiable elements of professional practice. Students will leave prepared to manage client care responsibly within a multidisciplinary team framework.
