Program Description

The Jail Academy Certificate is an accredited 160-hour program that prepares learners for positions in a variety of corrections careers ranging from least restrictive settings, such as group homes to highly restrictive maximum-security prisons. Learners relate theory to current practice trends, problems, and issues. This is Department of Justice aligned curriculum. To work in a county jail in the state of WI you must be certified. The Jail Academy Certificate fulfills that certification.
