Northern Thai Massage Parts 1 and 2: Supine, Lateral Recumbent, Prone and Seated
4-day course | 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This class introduces traditional Thai floor massage, a fully clothed therapy performed on a floor mat. Students will learn hands-on techniques using the hands, arms, elbows, knees, and feet to apply rhythmic leaning pressure, reflexology, acupressure, assisted stretching, breathwork, and yoga-inspired postures. Often called “lazy person’s yoga,” this meditative modality focuses primarily on the legs while also addressing the feet, abdomen, arms, hands, face, neck, shoulders, and back. The practice promotes deep relaxation, improved flexibility, balanced energy flow, and enhanced circulation while supporting physical alignment and emotional release.
