This hands-on course includes an anatomy review of their origins, insertions and actions; a discussion of indications and the importance of client feedback; instructor demonstration; and guided practice time. This 90-minute course provides 1.5 continuing education hours toward Wisconsin massage therapy licensure renewal.

Learning Objectives
- Describe multifidus attachments, layered relationships and actions.
- Locate the multifidus region using bony landmarks.
- 3. Compare prone, side-lying and seated access and choose positioning based on comfort and goal.
- 4. Demonstrate at least two approaches (compression and longitudinal gliding using fingers or tools) with appropriate dose based on feedback.
