Being the first in your family to attend college is a big deal! First-generation students are forging new paths, navigating unfamiliar territory, and creating opportunities for themselves and those who follow.
Approximately 48% of our Timberwolf community identifies as first-generation. That means nearly half of our students are finding their way through the college experience without a parent or guardian who has navigated it before them. Your courage and determination are worth celebrating!
In honor of First-Generation College Celebration Day on Sunday, November 8, Student Life is giving away free celebration buttons. If you’re among the first in your family to attend college, stop by Student Life or your preferred regional campus between November 2 and 13 to pick one up.
Students and employees are invited to wear a button with pride as we celebrate NTC’s first-generation trailblazers.
