Veteran's Day is on Wednesday, November 11, and we’d like to honor our veterans over the next two weeks.
Wear Red, White + Blue
On Wednesday, November 11, wear red, white + blue to show your pride for our country and appreciation of our veterans.
Celebration Military-Connected Buttons
The NTC Veterans Club offers military-connected buttons. Students and employees who are connected to the military as veterans, active-duty service members and/or supportive family members are encouraged to stop by Student Life (D110) or your respective regional campus to request a button. Students and staff are encouraged to add it to their backpack or lanyard and wear it with pride. Buttons will be available November 2-13 or while supplies last.
Appreciation Meal for Staff + Student Veterans
In recognition of your service, we invite all current NTC students and staff veterans to enjoy a free meal. Please stop into Student Life (D110) between November 2-13 to pick up your ticket to be used in the Wausau Campus Café.
Create a Holiday Card for Active Service Members
Express appreciation to our veterans and active service-members by creating a holiday card or writing a letter thanking them for their service. Stop by Student Life (D110) anytime between November 2-13 or your respective regional campus to make your card. We’ll provide all the supplies and sample messages! You are also welcome to make something at home and turn it in at Student Life by Friday, November 13. All cards/messages will be sent overseas to active service members for the holidays through Operation Gratitude.
Are you a member of a club? Ask your advisor to host a card making session! When your club stops by or brings in cards, connect with a member of our Student Life team for your club to receive “service” credit and earn funding for this school year!
