(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is pleased to announce the Presidential Leadership and Community Involvement Camp, which will be held at NTC’s Wausau campus July 16 – 18, 2019.

The overnight summer camp is available to students who will be entering 6th – 8th grade. Students who are accepted will participate in fun and engaging career exploration, leadership building and community service activities while being immersed in the college environment. Students will spend two nights in Timberwolf Suites, students housing, and will be eligible for a $250 scholarship to attend NTC.

“It was important for me to create an opportunity for local youth to connect with NTC through this exclusive camp,” said Lori Weyers, President, NTC. “We are preparing our children for jobs that don’t exist yet. The economy of 2030 will be highly technical in nature and we want to create pathways for students to be successful in an ever-changing world. Through this camp, we are giving students the edge on exploring hands on and technical careers while honing the leadership and soft skills that will make them successful well into the future.”

This prestigious opportunity is limited to the first 15 students who are accepted.
