Examine fundamental concepts of veterinary anesthesia and analgesia. Learners will study how to administer anesthesia to veterinary patients for common procedures, along with learning the skills needed to safely monitor anesthetized patients. Other topics include fluid therapy, IV catheters, maintaining anesthetic equipment and troubleshooting anesthetic problems and emergencies.

Student has completed or is in process of completing all of the following course(s): ANIMALHU 10091213 - Veterinary Pharmacology 2, ANIMALHU 10091224 - Veterinary Surgical Assisting with grade greater than or equal to C (Post Secondary Grading Scheme).
