Welding

Introduces process fundamentals, electrode selection and machine setup are discussed. Learners use Low hydrogen, "stick" electrodes to complete fillet and groove welds in all positions. Weld quality is assessed per AWS D1.1 - Structural Steel Code.

Notes

  • This course is offered as self-paced learning. Lab competencies will be completed in the Welding Lab at the Wausau Campus. This lab is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 12:00PM-8:00PM and Thursday 12:00PM-5:00PM. Contact advisor Houa Lee with questions.
