Develops the fundamental skills required for producing concepts and ideas represented in American Sign Language (ASL). Learners will apply the appropriate English synonyms for sign concepts based on contextual meaning. Learners will apply more than one English word equivalent to most sign vocabulary word. A variety language and vocabulary building exercises are designed to help learners enhance their English vocabulary. Learners will develop awareness of local and regional sign variations.
