Develops skill in gas metal arc welding. Learners use short circuit transfer to make fillet and groove welds in the flat and horizontal positions on steel. Weld quality is assessed per AWS D1.1 Structural Steel Code.

Notes

This course is offered as self-paced learning. Lab competencies will be completed in the Welding Lab at the Antigo Campus. The Welding Lab is open Monday/Thursday from 4:00PM - 5:00PM for classroom work and Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 5:00PM - 8:00PM for general lab work.
