Builds on skills developed in SMAW 1. Learners cellulose and low hydrogen electrogen electrodes in fillet and groove welds in all positions. Weld quality is assessed per AWS D1.1 - Structural Steel Code.

This class is offered as self-paced learning. Lab Competencies will be completed in the Welding Lab at the Phillips campus. The lab is open Mondays/Tuesdays, 3:00PM – 8:00PM and Wednesday/Thursday 4:00PM-8:00PM.
