I received my certification as a Nursing Assistant the summer before my senior year, when I was 17-years-old. At the time, I was working part-time and taking the accelerated CNA course. It was challenging and I had to devote the majority of my time to my studies. It was hard work, but I passed my state exam on September 8, 2017 and I’ve been working as a CNA ever since.
Passing my state exam was one of the proudest days of my life. When I walked out of the testing room, it was like walking on air.
I am a CNA because I believe that other people are worth my time.
I am an NTC student because they believe that I am worth their time.
