Examines the concepts of breeds, types and classification of equines. Learners will study basic nutrition requirements including digestive anatomy. Learners will explore additional topics such as determining age, height, weight, basic nutrition requirements the exploration of the digestive system, the exploration of nutritional requirements and an introduction basic pasture management, poisonous plants, feeding management and feed evaluation will be covered. This course provides a combination of online and hands on learning with required in-person labs.
